Over the years, he and his organization have been able to impact the community with several initiatives including feeding and clothing the homeless, mentoring programs, educational opportunities, youth programs and most recently in January 2020, a $9.2 million-dollar Independent Living Senior Housing Complex. In addition to the current development, his organization was awarded two additional Independent Living Senior Housing complexes value at 10.8 million dollars each. Future housing goals include a potential 50-million-dollar affordable housing development focusing on the underserved.
He received the key to St. Louis County and a proclamation on June 19, 2011. This day was proclaimed as “Bishop Calvin Scott Day” by the former St. Louis County Executive – Charlie Dooley. In February 2012, Bishop Scott was appointed as a board member for the St. Louis County Housing Authority by County Executive Dooley as Board Commissioner. In April 2020, Bishop Scott was appointed to the office of president of the St. Louis County Housing Authority by County Executive Dr. Sam Page. He participants on the Community Advisory Committee for the Riverview Gardens School District and currently serves as the CEO of BTWF Urban Initiative Community Development Corporation. He is also a certified Professional Life Coach and Motivational Speaker.
Dr. Scott has traveled globally to spread the Gospel. Spending time in Israel, Sierra Leone, Jamaica, Brazil, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and other various countries.
Bishop Scotts received a PhD in Religious Philosophy from the Tabernacle Bible College and Seminary (Brandon, FL), is the recipient of an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian College (Jacksonville, FL) and holds a Master of Arts in Divinity from Remnant of the Lord Bible College (St. Louis, MO).
